Objectives:
This course will prepare you to:
- Understand the Tools within the R/3 system that will apply to the
process of Auditing.
- Understand the use and configuration of the AIS (Auditing Information
System).
- Understand the Tools within the AIS that R/3 uses to control the
environment
- Working with the AIS system and setting up the Audit Process in
the System and in the Business Process.
- Understand the configuration of R3 System Security and Authorizations.
- Understand the use and configuration of the Schedule Manager in
the R/3 system.
- Understand conceptually the process in using the Management of Internal
Controls Tools (MIC).
- Review the Processes in FI, CO and SD and the impact of the Auditing
process on these modules.

- Overview of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and its impact on the Auditing
Process.
- Auditing in the R/3 System using the Audit Information System (AIS).
- System and Business Audits in the AIS.
- Additional Tools within AIS to help with Auditing.
- Setting up and managing Authorizations and System Security in the
R/3 System.
- Reviewing the processes in R/3 in reference to Auditing.
- Reviewing the set up and processes in FI and CO and their relationship
to Auditing.
- Schedule Manager and its use in the Auditing Process.
- Overview of the MIC and its functionality.
